Love Letter #55: Do You Love a Fun Quiz?

I hope you like quizzes…because this one is quite fun and insightful. At least it was for me.

Curiosity has been a topic of conversation this month. What is it? How we use it. Even if it’s to avoid doing other things. My friend Jamie Chapman leads these conversations and she found this very interesting curiosity personality quiz and shared it with the group. The results for me were spot on. I wanted to share it with you so you can see for yourself. So, let’s have some fun!

There are four curiosity types in this quiz. The Artists. The Inventors. The Explorers. The Scientists.

I am an artist. This description is spot on and very cool, don’t you think?

I wasn’t surprised by this, but I was surprised when I read how well it described me as an artist.

Here are the qualities of an artist…

“The artist is curious about how we think, feel, and live. They express that curiosity in their own imaginative way – be it a sketch, a poem, a song, dance performance or Instagram profile. The artist seeks to understand their own experience and to learn about the experiences of other people, using this to tell their story and the stories of others. The artist is always looking for a way to be unique, but enjoys learning from the art of others, and working with fellow artists to make something special.”

Creative self-expression through writing, doodling, drawing, and creating inviting spaces and even cooking is  in my nature. I have a deep connection with my own experiences and a unique way of interpreting and incorporating what I learn into my own artistic adventures. I see life as art, and my life as a giant canvas waiting for me to fill it with color, beauty, and possibilities.

I use writing and storytelling as a way to empower women to appreciate and enhance their own creation; their own lives.  We all have the power to shape our lives like the artist creating a masterpiece. Being an artist is a fundamental part of who I am and my purpose in life.

“Bliss and joy come in moments of living our highest truth – moments when what we do is consistent with our archetypal depths. It’s when we are most authentic and trusting, and feel that whatever we are doing, which can be quite ordinary, is nonetheless sacred.”

Jean Shinoda Bolen

Being an artist is where I meet those moments of bliss and joy, of living my highest truth – I can tell you I am in the flow of life when I am writing these letters to you, that’s for sure.

So, I am curious…and I hope you are too, to find out what your curiosity type is. Did it surprise you, or did it affirm what you have always known? Inquiring minds want to know. Hit reply to this email let me know.
