Today, I want to tell you I love you and I believe in you. Whether we know each other or have yet to meet, I genuinely love and appreciate you.

I see how strong, courageous, and brilliant you are. I know this about you because you are here, living life. 

I know you have an appreciation for life and a desire to know yourself better because you are here in this community. 

I know your presence in this world is a divine gift, and your unique perspective enriches the lives of those around you. 

I also know that you sometimes doubt yourself, and feel stuck and unable to see your way forward. 

Me too. It’s okay. It’s all part of the journey. 

For a few months now, I’ve been wrestling with something that scares me, feeling stuck and uncertain of the next step. 

I started to feel like this was happening to me and I don’t like it. And while that’s true, I remind myself that everything in life is happening to me. This too is happening for me.

While sitting with this in meditation today, I could feel shame, old lingering shame hidden deeply within my body. Perhaps from childhood, or even before that. Ashamed that I didn’t take better care of myself. 

And I began to see this experience as a pathway to release and heal the shame I carry. This is helping me to surrender to the path of healing and welcome it. To stop trying to control this experience or see it as something wrong, so I can begin listening and trusting with curiosity, love, and compassion. 

Truthfully, I’m feeling shame while writing this email…it feels vulnerable…so writing it, and being seen and heard is part of the healing process. 

Perhaps you’ve had moments like this in your life?

Perhaps you’re struggling to find the gifts in what’s happening in your life, or you feel stuck and unable to see the way forward. 

I believe in your ability to overcome challenges and embrace opportunities with grace and courage. 

I see the beauty of this life you’ve created and the joy that you bring to this world. 

Know, dear friend, you are worthy of your love, your kindness, your trust and tenderness, and all the good that’s waiting to emerge in your life. 

Keep shining your light brightly, for the world is a better place with you in it.
