Love Letter #101: No Matter What, Love Dissolves All

It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble, how hopeless the outlook how muddled the tangle, how great the mistake. A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all

Dr. Emmet Fox / The 7 Day Mental Diet

From a spiritual perspective, Dr. Emmet Fox’s profound insight resonates deeply with the universal principle that love is the highest vibration and the ultimate truth of existence.

The idea that love is the only real thing in this human experience fuels my passion for cultivating a deeper self-love for myself and others. Love is the essence of life itself, the force that connects all beings and transcends all barriers. It is what we are and who we are.

When we truly understand and embody this love, it has the power to transcend any obstacle, no matter how insurmountable it may seem from a limited human perspective. Love operates beyond the confines of time, space, and circumstances, and it has the miraculous ability to heal wounds, mend brokenness, and bring clarity to confusion.

So what does that mean in our day-to-day lives?

Here are three qualities we can cultivate to invite love into any situation.

Awareness. Notice where judgment and criticism, or anything other than love, enters our thoughts and words towards ourselves, others, situations, or circumstances. All judgment is self-judgment. As harsh as that may sound judging someone or something else is my perception, it isn’t the truth. When we judge others we are often masking our insecurities.

Acceptance: Drop the perfectionism and accept that you judge and criticize others and yourself. This doesn’t make you wrong, it makes you human. These are natural responses to external stimuli – really anything that doesn’t fit our belief system – from our survival brain. We all judge. I know I notice myself judging others’ perspectives and viewpoints. Love is an ongoing journey of being and evolving, both myself and others. Being aware of this is the first step towards self-compassion and unconditional love.

Curiosity: Be curious about your thoughts, judgments, and criticisms. Not just about other people, but more importantly yourself. When judging others, ask yourself, “How am I that?”. Every quality and trait existing in humanity is within each one of us. I am you. You are me. When we can find compassion for ourselves in this situation or with this person, we can be more compassionate with others. There is nothing to fear, only love to express.

Whatever appears unloving in your life and the world is akin to darkness. Darkness can’t be switched on; it can only be eliminated by illuminating it with light. In essence, darkness is merely the absence of light. Love serves as the light that, when directed towards the darkness within us, unveils our true beauty and the authenticity of others.

I  invite you to join A Difficult Woman CollectiveFacebook community to explore Dr. Emmet Fox’s teachings on love and self-approval. It’s a wonderful opportunity for collective growth and spiritual enrichment. In a world that often emphasizes external validation and conditional love, it is essential to cultivate a deeper understanding of self-love and unapologetic self-approval.

By exploring these transformative teachings together, we can support each other in awakening to the infinite power of love that lies within us, waiting to be recognized, nurtured, and expressed in all its radiant glory.

With love,

I’ll be live each afternoon starting Monday, April 22 – Friday, April 26, at 2:00 PM Eastern time, exploring the teachings of Dr. Emmet Fox in my Facebook Community – A Difficult Woman Collective. Join us live, or catch the replay.
